Feedback on feedback!

Monday 14th October 2013

I received some informative feedback from Paula regarding my thoughts on my Module 2 feedback. She has come up with some useful points and ideas and I am so grateful. Rather than creating a long blog on here, I have produced my thoughts in a document.

I should be interested to hear all of your ideas and opinions on my words, whether they be good or bad - any feedback is useful and much appreciated. I am enjoying keeping up to date on everyone’s work and excited to see how we all progress.

  1. Hi Emily,
I was going to comment on your google docs page but it wouldn't allow me to so I'm here instead, hope that's ok.
It sounds like you've really started to push forwards with you inquiry; developing and refining things as you both gain more insight and take the time to reflect.
It's amazing how one little nugget of help, info., dialogue or thought can open up a whole new way of seeing and moving forwards with the inquiry. I remember Adesola giving me a similar opportunity in a Coffee House session where she opened up my thinking with the word 'inspiration' - it totally freed me from the rut I was in and allowed me to see everything almost as if for the first time.
I've also been able to develop my inquiry through reflecting on my proposal - an area of weakness was my literature reviewing, and by trying to be more critical to develop this area I have discovered an area of motivation that I feel could potentially give my inquiry shape and direction; I still want to keep it student-centric but I hope this might give me a structure within which to present their thoughts and experiences.
I hope that the word 'can' and your discussion with Julia Buckroyd will do the same for you, and look forward to reading more as things develop further.

If I can be of any help to you in your inquiry then please let me know, whether that is in providing data, being a sounding board, or to work through ideas with...

  2. Hi Sarah,
I'm really pleased you've had the same experience with just one 'word' that can change our view on everything and open up more questioning and meanings.
Thank you for your support, the same applies to me and I am already enjoying our discussions and comparisons!
